The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), established in 1863, works worldwide to provide humanitarian help for people affected by conflict and armed violence and to promote the laws that protect victims of war. An independent and neutral organization, its mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions ot 1949. Based in Geneva, Switzeand. It employs some 12,000 people in 80 countries: it is financed mainly by voluntary donations from governments and from national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies. The ICRC delegation ls looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and m0tivated person for the following position:

Position: Intern
Duration: Initially 4 months (Can be extended as per requirement )

 

Scope ot Work & Learning:
Transactional Job

  • Assist to prepare and maintain updated stock of ICT Pool materials and assist in the distribution to internal customers
  • Assist to ensure replacement of small hardware including but not limiting to key board, mouse, dock station, monitor etc.
  • Helping to Visitor’s phone are checked as per parameter and make ready for the visitor.
  • Assist to replace printer, toner cartridge. Online UPS battery replace.
  • Projector and conference support for the in house program/outside if require.
  • Telecom support like collecting replacemet SIMcards as per requirement and troubleshooting mobile phone as require, FAX and PABX extension connection.

 

Infrastructure support

  • Helping LAN cabling and connectivity support.
  • Support end user technical troubleshooting like printing, internet browsing, scanning documents and WiFi network etc.
  • Assist to install windows and ICRC standard software package from internal service Portal.
  • Assist as back up in absence of ICT for Delegation secondary internet connectivity interruption.
  • Assist to resolve the residence internet connectivity by physically attending the venue as required and in coordination with the provider as well as.

 

Hospitality Jobs

  • Assist to make office ICT materials properly updated in record and manual documentation for none IS inventory equipment like toner cartridge, mouse, key board, UPS battery replace checklist etc.
  • Assist to keep rearranging ICT materials in the ICT store.

 

What we are looking for in Applicants:

  • Must be a graduate student majoring in computer science & engineering with good academic result is preferred.
  • Need to have excellent proficiency in MS Office
  • Need to have interpersonal, time management, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Bengali

 

Internship Allowance: As per organization policy
